Experience the ultimate in childbirth preparation and education while learning hands on coaching skills

 and relaxation exercises that can reduce labour time up to one third!

 

 

Prenatal Class Options:
A) Weeknight: 5-consecutive weeks 
(7:00-9:30pm)  
B) Weekend: 2-Saturday mornings  
(9:30-1:30 pm) plus 1-Sunday afternoon (2:00-4:30 pm)
Cost: $150.00 per couple 
If possible we recommend that you finish your classes
 3-4  weeks before your due date.

Refresher Classes
This program is intended for couples who have a child in the past 3-4 years, who wish to refresh and renew relaxation & breathing techniques. can be taken on a Saturday morning or over 2 evenings.
Cost: $75.00

Class 1

Process of Labour and Birth

Preparing you for the physical and emotional aspects of birth. Understanding how your body works (stages and phases of labour) knowing when labour has begun. 

Class 2

Comfort Measures Tools for labour and birth

A practical of application of breathing ad relaxation techniques, use of positioning for labour, birthing balls, and more. 

Class 3

Pain Medications & 2nd Stage

What medications are available and when to use them affectively. Understanding the benefits, risks, and limitations of their use. 

Inductions of labour, pushing, assisted vaginal delivery (forceps, vacuum) and episiotomy.  

Class 4 

Meeting the Challenges of Birth

Strategies to deal with complications and variations of normal i.e. slow labour, caesarean section and recover.  Labour practice and relaxation ends class five. 

Class 5

Post-partum Recovery, Newborn Care & Feeding your Baby

What to expect in the first few days and weeks. Newborn procedures and care i.e. baby bath, cord care, breastfeeding and adjustment at home with a new baby
