Experience the ultimate in childbirth preparation and education while learning hands on coaching skills and relaxation exercises that can reduce labour time up to one third!

Classes taught by experienced Registered Nurses who are all
Certified Childbirth Educators ~Small Class Size~Max 12 couples

Classes for first time Parents:
 
Evening Classes:5 consecutive wks (7:00-9:30pm) 
OR
Weekend Series: Preparation for the labour & birth are taken over two Saturday mornings  9:30-1:30 pm plus 1 evening class (7:00-9:30)
 
Cost: $145.00 per couple (including tax)

Refresher Program 
(For couples having their second child)

Nearing the end of your pregnancy?

Class 1

Process of Labour and Birth

Preparing you for the physical and emotional aspects of birth. Understanding how your body works (stages and phases of labour) knowing when labour has begun.

 

Class 2

Comfort Measures

Tools for labour and birth, a practical of application of breathing ad relaxation techniques, use of positioning for labour, birthing balls, and more.

 

Class 3

Pain Medications & 2nd Stage

What medications are available and when to use them affectivity. Understanding the benefits, risks, and limitations of their use. Inductions of labour, pushing, assisted vaginal delivery (forceps, vaccum) and episiotomy. 

 

Class 4 

Meeting the Challenges of Birth

Strategies to deal with complications and variations of normal i.e. slow labour, caesarean section and recover.  Labour practice and relaxation ends class five.

 

Class 5

Post-partum Recovery, Newborn care & Feeding your Baby

What to expect in the first few days and weeks. Newborn procedures and care i.e. baby bath, cord care, breastfeeding and adjustment at home with a new baby

 

Reunion Class
A reunion class occurs AFTER your baby is born. Come out and reunite with your prenatal group and meet the newest member of their family !
